A mobile version perhaps?

You want a new feature? That's the place to talk about it.

A mobile version perhaps?

Post by RedneckDrow »

I know android/iOS phones and tablets are becoming popular, and I myself have an Archos 101 tablet with android installed. (Though I'm considering switching to UrukDroid.)

Is there any chance that you could develop a version for either android or iOS? I know android is based off of the Linux kernel, but it is very different in the way it installs programs. I don't know much about iOS, unfortunately.

I'd be glad to help in any way possible.

I didn't even think it was possible, but if this could be made available on an Android, I would be beyond thrilled.

Hi,

yes, mobile apps is a very interesting topic.
Let's look at some ideas:
Iphone/Ipad: I don't own one of these, I don't plan to buy one and I'm not going to write an app that could be rejected by the apple people. --> The Webversion should be good enough

Android Pads/Phones: An Android tablet would be nice to have. It'd be possible to create an app that's basically using the webversion in the background to do the conversion.

Firefox/Chrom/Opera: An Addon/Plugin would be my favorite addition in the future. Just do a right click on a fanfiction an select "download"

So, who'd like to send me a (or better several ;-)) tablets?

Maybe there's even an app/plugin developer around who'd like to write something?

The Android SDK includes a mobile device emulator. It lets you develop and test apps. I've been looking into development myself, recently.
